Faircraft Seat: Lightweight Meets Sustainability
The Faircraft Seat sets new standards in civil aviation: Weighing just 5.1 kg, it combines radical lightweight construction with circular design principles, using recyclable materials. Its innovative approach allows for easy disassembly and material recovery, making it a groundbreaking solution for sustainable aviation.
Showcased at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2024, the seat impressed with its ergonomics, comfort, and flexible concept tailored to short-haul flights and evolving passenger needs. Industry leaders such as Airbus, Boeing, and Lufthansa expressed significant interest in the design.
With its versatile potential – from air taxis to passenger transport – and the possibility of production in collaboration with partners like Diehl Aviation and Autoflug, the Faircraft Seat paves the way for the future of sustainable flight.

From 2025 to 2027, as part of the ERDF-funded FairCabin project, FairCraft is developing a circular, lightweight cabin architecture that covers the entire interior of the aircraft from floor to floor: base panelling, side walls, ceiling panelling, overhead lockers and integrated lighting.
More than just lightweight construction: FairCraft is reimagining the aircraft cabin as an integrated system, with a focus on the circular economy and design for disassembly.
