100 Years of Thinking Ahead
Exhibition design
A multimedia anniversary exhibition was created to mark the 100th anniversary of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Private Law in Hamburg.
Neumann & Kamp initiated the concept workshop and brought in BFGF to oversee the spatial and design development. Working together with the Institute, they created an exhibition that links its history with current and future research topics.
History and Future in Dialogue
Traditional display panels trace the Institute’s development from its foundation in 1926 to the present day. Opposite these, six multimedia wall panels present current issues and future perspectives in legal research.
These distinct narrative strands engage in a dialogue with one another, both spatially and in terms of content. In this way, the anniversary motto becomes the design principle of the exhibition:
100 Years of Thinking Ahead.
