The Hamburg environmental authority has recognized the opportunities for business and consumers of forward-looking product development that takes the entire life cycle into account. As part of its Integrated Product Policy, the environmental authority will be offering Hamburg companies comprehensive support for implementation measures for environmentally friendly product development in the coming years.
Naturally, the necessary interdisciplinary and comprehensive analysis and evaluation approach places high demands on the experience and competence of the acting persons. For many companies, the support of qualified consultants is a good opportunity to initiate and implement their own projects for environmentally compatible product development. For this reason, such consultations will be financed on a pro-rata basis by the Hamburg environmental authority in the coming years.
For this purpose, the environmental authority, in cooperation with Ökopol GmbH, is developing targeted information workshops that provide experienced consultants - e.g. industrial designers or development engineers - with supplementary expertise for the provision of corresponding consulting and support services.
