In Hamburg's 'Heimatjuwel', Marcel Görke offers a very sophisticated menu - as the name promises, high-quality dishes are cooked with regional ingredients. As guests, we found the food very good. As designers, we suffered from the fact that the restaurant's atmosphere at the time did not do justice to the quality and attention to detail of its cuisine. We were all the happier that Marcel took us up on our offer to bring the ambience up to the level of his menu with the smallest possible measures.
We were particularly pleased to complement a muted color scheme - in keeping with the local weather - with a lighting concept that makes the food on the plate shine. Like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds.
